Rights, Responsibilities and Rights Restrictions

This is your Ethics and Professionalism course. The course discusses and provides some meaningful examples of compliance and noncompliance with:

1. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms

2. The Ontario Human Rights Code

3. Organizational (CLT/Corbrook) Human Rights codes, Policies and Procedures.

4. The Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008

5. Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017.

6. Privacy, consent and confidentiality, with an up-to-date module on protecting individual’s privacy and respecting confidentiality on line or when using social media.

7. Education Act (Ontario), 1990. Specifically, “special education” and “rights to inclusion” or the lack thereof.
